Southern Daysave

Explore the South Coast of England from Southampton as far east as Ashford in Kent. It's even valid to and from London & Watford Junction!

So, A great day out can be had making use of the Southern Daysave ticket. From the rolling fields along the Arun Valley line to watching the waves roll in along the East Coastway Line. There really is something for everybody to enjoy with this ticket!

Things to do:

  • Southease: Located on the Seaford line Southease really is a middle of no where station. Surrounded by rural countryside the station is the gateway to some beautiful walks. One possible walk is along the River Ouse to Newhaven. The station also connects perfectly with the South Downs Way which you can walk along to either Eastbourne or Brighton.
  • The Arun Valley Line: Stand out places to visit on this line are Arundal where you can visit the castle and the amazing market town, a must place to explore. Also worth a visit is Christs Hospital where there is some amazing disused platform and a disused walk should you fancy taking a walk.
  • Lewes: Worth the visit just for the station itself. But that a side the town is also lovely. A great option at Lewes is to jump on the bus (Not valid on ticket) and head to Uckfield and continue your Southern exploration on the Oxted branch line.
  • Doleham & Three Oaks: Visit Doleham, just because the setting is beautiful! But while there, take a walk to Three Oaks. The walk takes you down some beautiful country lanes which have views looking out over fields.
