Ride Cornwall

Ride Cornwall is possibly one of the best value DAY Rangers available.

From Plymouth to Penzance and every last station in between this ticket can take you to them all! Every Last branch line in Cornwall is also included in this great value ticket! But wait, it gets even better, every last town in Cornwall is also accessible with this ticket, even the ones with no rail connection because it is valid on Go Cornwall & First Kernow buses!

Things to do:

  • Looe Valley Line & Polperro: My adivise is to do this on a Saturday and make sure your at Liskeard for 8am. Upon arrival to Liskeard head out of the station and turn left down the hill and board the train to Looe at Coombe Junction Halt at 0836. One of only 2 services a day towards Looe from the station. Explore the 3 other intermiediate request stops. Trust me, they are ridiculously beautiful! After the Looe Valley Line, hop on a bus at Looe and head to the delightful fishing village of Polperro. Maybe then to end the day use the bus to head back to Liskeard or Plymouth to experiance some different scenery.
  • The North Cornwall Coast: Head to Bodmin Parkway and connect with the bus to Wadebridge. From there using the buses explore places like Padstow, Polzeath, Boscastle, Tintagel and my two personal favorute places: Trebarwith Strand & Port Issac. Port Issac being the filming locating for TV series Doc Martin & the movie Fishermans Friends.
  • St Ives & Lands End: Head to St Erth on the Cornish Mainline and start a circular day out. Take a journey on the beautiful line to St Ives. Take a walk around in, take in the beautiful scenery! After how ever long you want, take the open top bus to Lands End and then continue on to Penzance.
  • Falmouth & St Mawes: Take the train to Truro before heading down the line to Falmouth. After sometime looking around head down to the harbour and take the ferry (additional cost) which will take you to the breathtakingly stunning fishing village of St Mawes. After looking around the village and maybe getting a bite to eat take the bus back towards Truro. Several options to break the bus journey and visit other places. Portloe being one of my suggestions.
